When it comes to delivering on people’s expectations, Apple has always done that and there not an iota of doubt about it. Whether it is the case of iPhones, Macs or iPads, Apple has never really failed to impress its customers. From the past 2-3 years, we have been witnessing a whole new range of large screen iPhones i.e., iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus, that have captured the markets quite strongly. But there are large groups of people, who still don’t like large screen phones much. For them, iPhone SE is a major upgrade from iPhone 5s. iPhone SE is somewhat a well-balanced hybrid of iPhone 5s and iPhone 6s. iPhone 5s, in terms of its looks and iPhone 6, in terms of its performance.
iPhone SE is has a 326 ppi 1136 X 640 display, very much similar to the 5s. In fact, by looks, it is almost impossible to tell the difference between these two. From the screen size to the positioning of buttons, everything is similar. iPhone SE comes with a better camera. The iSight camera is a 12-megapixel (ƒ/2.2 aperture) which is capable of taking some pretty high-quality photos. It lacks image stabilization but it wins the game by having the “Live Photos” feature. The iPhone SE does not have the “3D Touch”, which might be bothering for some people, but for the remaining masses, it is just a question of a couple of extra taps on the screen.
iPhone SE comes in two storage units. 16 GB and 64 GB. Also, it comes in 4 colors i.e., Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold. The Geekbench Single-Core score was recorded as 2496 on iPhone SE compared to 2552 of iPhone 6S. While the Multi-Core score was recorded as 4343 compared to 4464 of iPhone 6s. Which makes us say that, performance-wise, it is very much on par with the iPhone 6s. The A9 processor of the iPhone SE makes you play some high-end games without any lags whatsoever. It also ensures that after upgrading your iPhone to future iOS versions, it is highly unlikely that the performance of the device will get affected.
The battery has been made better as well. Overall, priced at $399, One must say that it is a worthy successor of the iPhone 5s. If you have small hands or you want a smaller iPhone, then it’s certainly a great buy.
